On May 2, we packed our bags, loaded up on sunscreen and took a three-hour drive.

Destination: Longboat Key. Wow, what a place. Mommy and Papi talked to me about the beach, the sand, the ocean, the sun. I didn’t understand what it was until I actually saw for myself. We spent three days relaxing on the beach and enjoying the beautiful weather. I had so much fun laying under the umbrella. But the most fun was when I got to go in the pool and the ocean. It was my first time in any body of water other than my bathtub. I loved it. I relaxed on a raft and even kicked my feet a little. Mommy and Papi were so proud.  I also got to see Aunt Maggie and Uncle Chris.  But I didn’t see any dolphins or fish. Maybe next time.
